About Michelle

Pronouns: she/her/siya

Michelle’s curiosity about people—how we become, how we relate with others, how we evolve—and relationships has always been a part of her. Since her adolescence, she has been interested in self-help books and listening to people's stories in hopes of helping them feel seen and heard. Having gone through her own self-development journey and having experienced the gift of therapy as the client, it validated her longing to become a therapist and share the gift that keeps on giving—therapy.

Michelle provides culturally responsive psychotherapy, holds a safe space for her clients with empathy, and assists in bringing the unconscious into consciousness where healing and growth take place. Raised in the Philippines and later acculturated to life in the United States, her bicultural experience allows her to attune to the complexities of cultural identity and intergenerational patterns with sensitivity and insight. At the heart of her work as a psychotherapist is the desire to help people explore the parts of themselves that long for change, connection, and inner peace.

Though she draws from a variety of modalities, Michelle’s approach is depth-oriented, trauma-informed, attachment-based, and humanistic, often incorporating inner child work. In addition to her clinical work, Michelle is a Bringing Baby Home Educator trained by The Gottman Institute and occasionally teaches graduate-level courses as an adjunct professor, helping train the next generation of therapists.
